GM named Chris Perry as its marketing leader for the Chevrolet brand. Chris Perry will replace Jim Campbell and Perry was formerly Hyundai Motor America's vice president of marketing. Perry will be GM's fourth marketing leader in 13 months as the company is switching up marketing directors in an attempt to stay competitive.
Campbell was moved to become the vice president of GM's vehicles and motorsports unit. Chris Perry will team up with Joel Ewanick who is GM's top U.S. marketing executive. Ewanick said, “I have worked with Chris in the past and know he will use his unique ability to integrate strategic and creative marketing activities across all communications disciplines to reconnect consumers to the Chevrolet brand.”

GM's rapid changes in executives might not be taken as a good sign by investors, but the company will continue to hold its IPO later this fall.
