Ford's recall?

Ford is recalling there Windstar van in 21 sates, the District of Columbia, and Canada were road salt is more widely used. The road salt is believed to cause corrosion that will slightly crack a back axle. This recall is only taking place on a small number of the Windstar vans. The recall is completely cost free to the customers and owners of the Windstar van. Ford Motor Company will be getting in touch with the owners of the Windstar van in production from 1997 to 2003. The repairs will be done by reinforcing the rear axle, and if the axle can't be fixed then it will be replaced free of charge, and a rental vehicle will be provided until the vehicle is fixed. The rental vehicle will also be charge free to the customer.

This recall is taking place in a small number in cases. Not all of the vehicles have a cracked rear axle, but any Windstar high mileage van that does will be fixed by Ford Motor Company. The repair can be made at any of your local Ford Dealerships. Ford issued this recall them selves, and by doing this they are once again proving that customer safety comes first in Ford's standards.
