Hybrid vehicles seem to be the way to go anymore; you are going to save a ton on fuel costs over the lifetime of ownership and they seem to be holding up better than critics imagined. You can get even large SUVs, such as the Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid from any NC Chevy Dealer, that will save you a bit more on gas, but it is also going to come with a hefty price tag. Plus, there are plenty of hybrids on the lot at Used Car Dealer Cheyenne if you want something smaller and with a more manageable price tag; you can get a used Ford Escape Hybrid for around $20,000-$25,000. Keep in mind though that you can get a brand new Escape Hybrid for around $30,000 and the features on the newer models are always a bit more exciting. In our American effort to save fuel, if you must buy an import, make sure you get a fuel efficient Volkswagen; even if you don't go for the hybrid, the clean burning diesel engine options are incredibly low on emissions!
The Hybrid Escape was released to the public in 2005 and was able to give drivers the power of a V6 engine with the fuel economy of a four cylinder; impressive! Ford can proudly still say they have the most fuel efficient SUV available, but with as competitive as the auto industry is, Ford will need to keep continuously improving the Escape to keep that fuel economy reign. Drivers can expect to get about 30 mpg from their 2.5 liter four cylinder engine. Plus, Ford put an electronic CVT (continuously variable transmission) with the gas motor and two electric motors to give drivers an efficient and powerful 177 horsepower. When the Escape Hybrid is stuck in traffic, the gas consumption drops to nothing and the vehicle is powered solely off the battery. Plus, there is a regenerative brake system, so when you apply the brakes, the heat that is produced is able to recharge the battery acting as an energy source.
