Camaro vs Mustang!

Ford Motor Company makes some great vehicles, like the Ford F-150 and Mustang, both of which have greatly improved in quality over the past few years or so.  People always like to compare the American models, especially Ford and Chevrolet.  And when it comes to the truck market, people are interested even in the import model from Toyota Minneapolis.  But with the 2011 inventory beginning to arrive on the lots, let's see where your money will best be spent: on the 2010 Ford Mustang or the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro?  Keep in mind that if neither of these muscle performance cars is what you are looking for, there are always some great VW Deals that you can take advantage of, and several of their 2010 line up received Top Safety Pick Awards from the IIHS.

The 2010 Chevy Camaro has a starting MSRP of $22,680 and is available in five trim levels; base model LS, 1LT, 2LT, 1SS, and 2SS.  The 2010 Ford Mustang starts out at $21,395 and comes as a coupe or convertible with four trim level choices; V6, V6 Premium, GT, and GT Premium.  Their fuel economy is virtually the same, each getting between 19-21 mpg.

Safety features on the Camaro include standard anti-lock brakes, front and side curtain airbags, and stability and traction control.  OnStar comes on all GM vehicles free for one year, but the higher three trim levels have OnStar with navigation.  On the NHTSA crash tests rating of 5 stars being the best, it received 5 stars for front side impact and rollover, and 4 stars for passenger and driver ratings.  The 2010 Mustang comes standard with anti-lock brakes, stability and traction control, and front and side curtain airbags.  It received 5 stars from the NHTSA for passenger, driver, rollover, and side impact front, while getting 4 stars for side impact rear.
