Ford Focus: New and Improved!

Debuting at the Paris Auto Show at the end of this month is the newly remodeled and more powerful Ford Focus ST.  Current models are available right now at Chattanooga Ford, but you will have to wait till early next year for the new ones to roll onto the lot.  Ford Motor Company hasn't released all of the details regarding the performance or package options for this sporty little ride, but we are sure it is going to be a source of great competition for the car line up at Stamford Nissan once it hits dealer lots!

It could be estimated that Ford felt the need to redesign their hatchback model because the European market is a big fan of the car design.  Hatchbacks are to Europe what gas-guzzling SUVs are to many Americans; they love them.  Ford has abandoned the Volvo engine parts in favor of a turbocharged 2.0 liter four cylinder.  However, Santa Ana Volvo still makes some super safe vehicles that are fun to drive.  For consumers and drivers that are already familiar with Ford's EcoBoost engine, the new Focus ST is going to have even more power and gives drivers 250 horsepower, which is an increase by 25 horsepower compared to the previous model.

Ford of Europe CEO Stephen Odell and Ford Motor Company President and CEO Alan Mulally will present the newly redesigned Focus at the Paris Auto Show 2010.  Additionally, there will be all three body styles lined up right next to each other for comparison, a first for the company.  In hopes of becoming a global household name, Ford is widening the scope for the Focus.  Drivers can choose from the sporty five door hatch, the sedan style four door, or the family friendly wagon.  Expect this vehicle to first be released in Europe and North America.
